What we collect
- Your account: name, email, phone number, country, and a scrambled version of your password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
- Your business: its name, logo, website, location, team and settings.
- Your customers' chats: messages, files, call details, transcripts and recordings (when you turn those on), plus what the chat can see about their visit: pages opened, links clicked, rough location, browser and language.
- Billing: your balance and what it was spent on.
Why
Only to run Talkbox: to deliver messages and calls, show your team who they're helping, send the emails you ask for, keep accounts safe, and bill for paid features. We don't sell personal data and we don't use your conversations for advertising.
Who helps us
- Amazon Web Services stores files, recordings and photos.
- Meghee Email sends sign-in codes, invites, alerts, and emails your team sends to customers.
- LiveKit carries voice and video calls.
- Timiun handles payments made in chat.
- Google provides “Sign in with Google” when you use it.
Keeping it safe
Connections are encrypted. API keys and two-step secrets are encrypted at rest. Files are private and shared only through links that expire. Team members only see the businesses they belong to.
How long we keep it
As long as your business uses Talkbox. Delete a file and it's gone from storage.
Your choices
You can see, correct and export your information. Customers who chatted with a business should contact that business first; we'll help them respond.
